The Germans are coming – and others as well
Once again SPOT Festival increases the attendees of industry- and media people from the largest music market in Europe, Germany: About 140 people are taking the trip from our neighbouring country in the south to Aarhus. The increased interest in SPOT can be seen on several fronts, where more than 300 representatives from significant foreign media, record companies, booking agencies, festivals etc. have announced their arrival.
They are arriving in busses from Köln, Berlin and Hamburg: About 140 representatives from the German- media industry will be present at this year’s SPOT Festival. This is a doubling compared to the approximately 70 people that took the trip in 2011.
The interest fits perfectly with the increased effort made by both SPOT Festival and MXD- Music Export Denmark in the German market – a market where acts like Aura, Volbeat, Medina etc. have been doing well lately. And also a market where SPOT and MXD have increased the SPOT On Denmark initiative.
In addition to busses from Köln and Berlin, Dutch, Belgian and Luxembourgish industry and media people will also be on a bus from Bruxelles to Aarhus and back.
This means that the following noteworthy examples of visitors can be pointed out:
Media:
Le Monde – a significant French newspaper – and Liberation (France), El Mundo og TVE – Televisión Española (Spain), RTL (Luxemburg), the radiostation Eins Live (Köln), Wired Magazine and Intro Magazine (Germany’s largest), Mojo Magazine (England), orf.at (Austria’s largest site) and more…
Festivals:
Eurosonic Festivalen (Holland), Reeperbahn Festivalen (Hamburg), c/o Pop (Köln), Øya (Norway), Montreux Jazz Festival (Switzerland), Exit Festival (Serbia), Les Eurockéennes (France), and more…
