Lay Low is Lovísa Elísabet Sigrúnardóttir’s alter ego. The Icelandic singer-songwriter combines her beautifully poetic mother tongue with the classical Americana sound to an artistic whole that exudes softness, warmth and honkey-tonk blues. She knows the country genre inside out, but her addition of a trip hop twist breaks new ground and takes the songs out of the safe zone.
