On a US tour in 2009 Norwegian Simon Says No! discovered that people at their gigs labelled their music “Foo gaze” – a fusion of Foo Fighters and shoegaze. It is not far off the mark because the band’s black-clad songs are really hard-hitting rock with stadium potential and at the same time share the interest in the various sound textures of noise with shoegaze.
