Darkness Falls is a rock duo consisting of Josephine Philip (vocals and keyboard) and Ina Lindgren (guitar and bass). Together they conjure up a dramatic and atmospheric sound that mixes twang guitar with synths, hard drums and a distinctive voice. The duo is hard to label as they mix the classic rock tradition with modern arrangements to create a dynamic and varied sound. The duo will go on stage together with Sóley. The Icelandic multi instrumentalist plays catchy and fragile folk-like tunes that are carried by her voice and piano. Until unexpected elements such as rhythmical creaks break up the flow, that is! In 2011 Sóley released the album “We Sink”, which made the reviewers compare her to both Björk and Lykke Li.
