The poetry of the lyrics is important in Ulige Numre’s universe. The inspiration for the personal and intentionally high-flown lyrics written by singer Carl Emil includes the American songwriter and storyteller tradition. The sound is dusty and guitar-driven, but when playing live the four lads bring along two wind players, which underlines their modern and dynamic soundscape.
