The inspiration from Cohen and Dylan is obvious in Vessel’s singer/songwriter sound. Vessel updates the genre, however, with modern acoustic patterns, and especially his lyrics explore new ground. Whereas the genre traditionally makes very existential observations, Vessels poetry addresses abstract and philosophical questions. Vessel is the solo project of Anders Mathiesen (also known from murder).
