InterSPOT: International and Danish acts engage in exciting mash-ups!

Inter SPOT has become a permanent feature at SPOT Festival. It is based on the following concept: five Danish acts are paired with five international acts and subsequently the pairs must perfrom on stage together a set consisting of four or five songs from each band’s back catalog. Icelandic songstress Sóley (signed to a German record label) specialising in catchy folk melodies and soothing piano-tones has teamed-up with Danish female duo Darkness Falls whose music is a fusion of haunting dark pop, post-punk and ’60s guitar twang. Wafande, Choir of Young Believers and Reptile Youth – all in all 15 new acts for SPOT

Once again SPOT can now unveil a batch of acts, this time ranging from intimate folk via cheerful reggae to jazzy choir improvisations. Tim Christensen, Boho Dancer and Vessel – the first 40 SPOT Acts have now been confirmed

Twelve more acts have been added to the line-up of the 2012 SPOT Festival. The latest batch of SPOT acts is a mix of experienced bands and budding talents. Even though Tim Christensen may be too young to be considered a rock dinosaur, he and his tight live band The Damn Crystals play with a fearsome bite worthy of a full-grown tyrannosaurus Rex. Tim Christensen And The Damn Crystals will be touring all spring so we are not afraid to guarantee that they will be in brilliant shape when they arrive at SPOT with a set list compiled especially for...

In the SPOTlight: Ulige Numre

“We could in theory be a death metal band as well as a swing jazz trio…” Ulige Numre are one of the most talked about new Danish acts. Their hit single “København” recently reaped the prestigious Steppeulv Award for the Song of the Year. In the light of their SPOT performance we took the opportunity to ask them a few questions. How would you describe your music to some who has never heard of you? Four good friends playing indie rock with loads of guitars. On stage we expand our lineup with a trumpet and a...
